Lauren Reese and Rebecca Moody decided to launch Fox and Bear Books in May 2020, in the middle of a pandemic. After talking about working together on books for several years, they were finally able to move forward with Fox and Bear, which Lauren had conceptualized and illustrated. She invited Rebecca onto the project to finalize the text, and the two immediately knew they would make a great team! Motivated by the belief that all children deserve to feel seen, heard, and empowered, Fox and Bear Books was founded with a desire to help children and those that love them better understand emotions and how to respond with respect and empathy to one another. We hope that parents, caregivers, and children turn to these books for guidance and inspiration, and that they contribute to raising a future generation of empathetic leaders!
