Enjoy the worksheets below! May they help foster a deeper connection with the “little foxes” in your life!

Love Makes a Home

A couple of years ago, I asked my children what they loved about our family, what unique things we do that make us, “us.” I took all their thoughts and put it inside of the heart. These are the things that make our family special. The weird, fun, silly, sweet activities and sayings that are unique to us. I hung it up as a reminder: these are what make our house a home.

Then, in March 2020, our house was destroyed by a tornado. It became more important than ever that a home will always be where we are safe together as a family.

Family Agreement

The word “agreement” is intentional. It is important that it is a collaboration of ideas and not just a set of rules. Rules can feel imposed and there is usually a punishment involved to maintain power or order. It can push us towards obedience rather than encouraging internal motivation. Everyone gets a say in writing a part of the agreement. We ended up writing way too many and picked out the ones that we felt were the most important for this season. We even let them write a silly one at the end (“kiss the apple every time you go to school”). When I read off out agreements, every so often, they burst into laughter at the silly one!

We hope to encourage your family to write your own agreements! May creating your own family agreements bring you all closer together! Enjoy!
